Zooey Deschanel Sues Shoemaker for $2 Mil

Zooey Deschanel is suing popular shoemaker Steve Madden for a whopping $2,000,000 -- claiming the company stiffed her completely over an endorsement deal she made with them in August 2010.

1217_zooey_deschanel_GETTY_EX
According to a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, Deschanel and SM made the $2 million deal ... but Madden came back to Deschanel saying they couldn't get retailers to back the deal, so they re-negotiated for $1.5 mil.

Zooey says she held up her end of the deal -- including turning down other deals -- but Madden never forked over the $1.5 mil.  Deschanel also claims SM promised her a percentage of the profits as well -- if sales reached a certain level.

Calls to Steve Madden were not returned

Ortiz was charged with one count of third-degree assault ... punishable by up to five years in state prison. The alleged incident went down September 4, 2009 in Seaside Heights, NJ.

Sources tell TMZ the reason it took so long to charge him was because both sides were trying to reach a plea agreement, but couldn't. We're told a plea still could happen down the road.

The guy on the receiving end of the alleged punch, Stephen Izzo, has a pending lawsuit against Ronnie, MTV, and the producers of the show.

A rep for Ronnie tells TMZ, "This comes as a complete shock to us, as far as we know, our attorneys have been in contact with the prosecutors office and we are waiting to see the documents."

Judge Awarded Mel Gibson More Face Time with Baby

Mel Gibson will get to see his daughter more than he has in the past, thanks to Judge Scott Gordon.

Mel Gibson Custody

As TMZ first reported, Judge Gordon modified the existing custody agreement late Thursday.

Now sources tell us Gordon has given Mel more time with Lucia, but not a lot more.  We're told the increase is measured by hours -- not days -- per week.  Sources say the increase for Mel amounts to a little more than one day a week.

According to the agreement Mel and Oksana Grigorieva signed in May, both have joint physical and legal custody of Lucia.  Under that agreement, Mel had visitation rights a total of 6 days -- with three overnight visits -- every two weeks. The judge has now increased Mel's face time.

It's a far cry from what Oksana wanted ... namely, to strip Mel of overnight visits altogether and to only give him monitored visitation.

Sources tell us Judge Gordon told the parties there were no winners or losers, but that the change was made for the best interests of Lucia.
