This actress/rocker/eyeliner aficionado just made headlines when she reportedly got suspended from her Gossip Girl gig for being a snot. But it's not her fault! She recently blamed her parents for her behavior citing that she didn't have a choice in entering the entertainment industry as a child and they robbed her of a childhood. For proof that she wasn't always this emo goth queen, check out Taylor's adorable commercial debut as a three-year-old. Read Her Bio Li

Taylor Momsen'S BIOGRAPHY

Back to top Li
  • Birth Date July 26, 1993
  • Birthplace St. Louis, Missouri
  • Height 5'8"
  • Relationship Status Single
  • Where You've Seen Him You've seen her go from cute as a button Cindy Lou Who in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas to conniving queen bee on Gossip Girl. She's also quite the rocker as the front woman to her band, The Pretty Reckless.
  • Defining Quote "If it's a good sex tape, I'll watch it...But I will say this: that Tommy Lee-Pamela Anderson video wasn't very good. I wouldn't f**k Tommy Lee."

She was the pig-tailed, doe-eyed cutie who couldn’t get enough of Shake-N-Bake’s crunchy chicken when she landed their national commercial spot at the tender age of three. Since then she’s morphed into a bombshell blonde actress/rocker who isn’t afraid of black eyeliner and has developed a less than favorable reputation as a diva.

SHAKE 'N' BAKE

Born in St. Louis, Taylor’s parents encouraged the youngster to get into acting and before long she had landed her first role in a feature film, The Prophet’s Game as Honey Bee Swan, when she was just six. The following year, Taylor continued her child star success in another adorable role as the button-nosed Cindy Lou Who in the holiday flick How the Grinch Stole Christmas opposite Jim Carrey. Taylor went on to nab a part in the Mel Gibson flick We Were Soldiers in 2002 before once again trying her hand at children’s flicks in movies like Hansel & Gretel (2002), Saving Shiloh (2006) and Underdog (2008).

STARTING GOSSIP AND GETTING RECKLESS

But things really started heating up for born and bred actress when she landed the part of Jenny Humphrey on the CW hit Gossip Girl. On the series, Taylor played the good girl from Brooklyn who was just trying to fit in at her preppy Manhattan private school. But learning from the queen bees who tortured her in high school, Taylor’s character soon morphed into the conniving, bad girl. But it wasn’t only Taylor’s onscreen persona who seemed to be changing right before our eyes—Taylor’s off-screen look also took a turn to the dark side as she began sporting barely there outfits and circling her eyes with layers and layers of dark makeup.

It was around the same time that this on and off screen change began to take place that the public got wind of Taylor’s off-screen venture—front woman of the band The Pretty Reckless. The band’s first album was released in the fall of 2010 and debuted songs like ‘Make Me Wanna Die,’ ‘Miss Nothing’ and ‘Just Tonight.’ The correlations between Taylor and a young and reckless Courtney Love did not go by unnoticed.

With her music, wardrobe choices and difficult behavior making the headlines rather than her role on Gossip Girl, Taylor was been cut from the show. After appearing as a guest role, Tim Gunn called out the studded rebel saying, “What a diva! She was pathetic, she couldn’t even remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself, ‘Why are we all being held hostage by this brat?’”

It looks like this dark rider from the wrong side of the bridge won’t be calling the Upper East Side home for too much longer. But will this Pretty Reckless raccoon-eyed girl be just another child actor gone wrong statistic? Only time will tell. Better luck next time little T.
