Lil' Kim and Drake Most Popular Rappers on Twitter

By The Editors of Boombox  Posted Dec 16th 2010 03:20AM
Lil' Kim and DrakeLil' Kim saw a sudden surge in popularity this year, despite the fact that she hasn't released a new album in more than five years.

The reason behind her sudden popularity? Social networking site Twitter, where she was one the most talked about people in 2010 on the forum. Lil' Kim is placed ahead of Nobel Peace Prize-nominated aid worker Zilda Arns, and behind temperamental actor Mel Gibson.

The Queen Bee was ranked #6 in the People category on the 2010 Trends on Twitter list. Somewhat inexplicably, Kim saw herself as the only rapper on the list, and was only surpassed by Lady Gaga (#3) and teen-phenom Justin Bieber (#1) when it came to fellow musicians.

While Kim was one of the most popular people on Twitter this year, fellow rappers Drake, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and singer Rihanna all made the Top 10 Most Retweeted Tweets list.

RihannaRihanna has ditched her fiery red hue (for now) and returned to her brunette roots.

The singer was spotted in Europe last weekend with darker and shorter locks peeking from underneath a camouflage cap.

Over the past year, we have watched the edgy 22-year-old's hair color evolve from bleached blonde strands to two-toned tresses to bright crimson locks.

And her style has changed just as much, from her signature bowl cut to extra-long hair extensions to spiral curls. Rumor has it that her cherry red spiral mane is a wig!

Claire Danes Experiencing Side Effects from Eyelash Treatment

By The Editors of StyleList  Posted Dec 16th 2010 01:55AM
Claire DanesActress Claire Danes is a celebrity spokesperson for 'Latisse', an eyelash growth treatment from the makers of Botox, and also a regular user, but she may have suffered one of the product's side effects.

An anonymous source has been quoted in New York Post's 'Page Six' that Danes' makeup artist has to plaster on concealer to cover the bruise-like purplish and yellowish skin discoloration that the actress' use of lash-growth drug has left around her eyes.

Cited as a possible side effect, skin darkening joins redness, itchiness and alternate hair growth as unwanted consequences that may occur with use of the serum.

While the 31-year-old Emmy-winning star admits on her Latisse blog to experiencing redness during the first week she was on the lash-growth serum, product maker Allergan is calling foul on the talk of skin darkening.

Michelle Williams, the beautiful and ethereal Oscar-nominated actress, will soon be seen alongside fellow indie icon Ryan Gosling in 'Blue Valentine,' which had its controversial NC-17 rating overturned last week. In a new interview with PopEater, she reveals why she was initially indifferent about the quasi-censorship of the film. "I didn't understand the ramifications," she admits. The 'Brokeback Mountain' actress also opens up about playing tragic characters, including Marilyn Monroe in the upcoming 'My Week With Marilyn,' and lighter things like how her daughter prefers Ginger Rogers to 'iCarly' and why she felt like a "mobster" while shooting 'Dawson's Creek' for all those years.

"You set up a shop selling pizza but in the back you're laundering money. You're doing one thing in plain sight and secretly plotting something else," she says. "I was plotting my tastes, my interests, my beliefs and hopes for what I could be."

Playmate Jayde Nicole Settles Lawsuit With Joe FrancisPlayboy model Jayde Nicole has put the drama with alleged attacker Joe Francis behind her, so the two can go back to doing what they do best -- posing naked and convincing girls to pose naked, respectively.

The playmate has settled her lawsuit with the 'Girls Gone Wild' founder, whom she had previously accused of assaulting her at Hollywood's Guys and Dolls nightclub in the summer of 2009. As a condition of their agreement, both parties must refrain from discussing the terms of the settlement.

RadarOnline reports that although Nicole once had the full support of her former flame, Brody Jenner, who corroborated her account of the attack, she is now incensed because Jenner has apologized to Francis and is now denying that the assault took place.

Following the incident last year, Jenner, who reportedly punched Francis and was subsequently tased, tweeted, "Joe Francis beat up my lady this morning for no reason! Pulled her to the ground, punched & kicked her..what does that say about him. How can you call yourself a man when you beat up a girl?? Joe Francis is a piece of sh*t. Joe Francis needs to be in jail!!!"
