Natalie Portman Will Shill Perfume So Long As It Doesn’t Compromise Her Vegan Fashion Philosophy

Natalie Portman is the new face of Dior's Miss Dior Cherie perfume. The alignment between Portman — a vegan so staunch she made her own line of vegan shoes for the now-shuttered store Té Casan after she couldn't find non-leather shoes to wear — and a label like Dior, that unabashedly uses leather and fur, may seem curious. But Portman says Dior went out of their way to make her feel at home.

"One of the things that’s been so nice is that Dior made all of the shoes for me with no animals and no leather or anything because I don’t wear any leather… They remade all my shoes so I can wear Dior shoes without taking lives."

And sell Dior perfume so they have the money to make more leather shoes and fur collars.
