Loyal Friend Chelsea Handler Calls Angelina Jolie a 'Homewrecker'

By Rob Shuter  Posted Dec 6th 2010 12:09AM

After spending Thanksgiving in Mexico with BFF Jennifer Aniston, tart-tongued funnywoman Chelsea Handler didn't hide her feelings towards Angelina Jolie at her show in Newark, New Jersey Friday night, calling Angie a home-wrecking "b***h" who doesn't have any female friends because shes a [c-word].

"Chelsea hates Angelina and doesn't for one second buy that she is this good person rescuing children in need around the World," a friend of the comedienne tells me. "Everyone in Hollywood is scared to say what they really think about Angelina except Chelsea."

Will Howard Stern Sign New Deal with iTunes?

By Christine Fenno  Posted Dec 5th 2010 07:00PM
Do you hear what we hear? That's the sound of millions of loyal Howard Stern fans saying: Just tell us where to find him in the new year, already!

The shock jock has been in negotiations for a new contract with Sirius XM Radio (his multi-year, $500 million deal expires at year's end), but there still isn't news from the company about renewing the partnership. The silence on a new contract means the network is missing the chance to snap up new subscriptions this holiday season, and many believe it's a surefire signal that Sirius is seriously in trouble, i.e., about to lose their biggest star.

In the meantime, a rumor that Apple could snag the self-proclaimed "King of All Media" in a new $600 million deal has suddenly gained major traction.

But would a raunchy radio star like Stern, famous for his NSFW banter and porn star interviews, be a successful fit within Steve Jobs' clean, conservative corporation? On the iPad (which "Apple wants to keep family friendly," according to The Wrap.com), strict policies already govern how content is presented. How will things change at Apple with Stern on board?

And how many Sirius XM subscribers would jump ship to follow their hero -- currently heard four days a week on the satellite network -- over to a new format of iTunes streams?

Expect More Stars to Emerge From 'Degrassi'

By Rebecca Macatee  Posted Dec 5th 2010 03:00PM
The rapper we now know as Drake wasn't always a hip-hop heavyweight. Before his days of collaborating with Lil Wayne, he was Aubrey Drake Graham, a Canadian teen star known for his role as the paraplegic Degrassi High School student, Jimmy Brooks.

But Drake isn't the only cast member of 'Degrassi: The Next Generation' to transition from 'Teen Nick' to big-time Hollywood.

The educational program turned high school soap opera also produced Shenae Grimes, who currently stars as Annie Wilson in '90210.' For four seasons, Shenae played Darcy Edwards, an uber-Christian girl turned wild child.

And Nina Dobrev, who played teen mom and model Mia Jones on 'Degrassi,' now stars as Elena Gilbert in the hit CW show, 'The Vampire Diaries.'

'Degrassi' expert Kary Bowser, founder of http://degrassiblog.com, thinks Drake, Shenae, and Nina won't be only big names to come from the show.

"In Canada, 'Degrassi's' huge. So, if you're a teen actor, that's the thing you want to do," he says. "As far as those three, I don't necessarily know that they were the most talented. They just decided they wanted to make the journey from Canada to Hollywood and their timing was right."

On 'SNL,' Diddy Likes DeNiro in Drag

By Christine Fenno  Posted Dec 5th 2010 02:19PM
Andy Samberg, as stuck-in-the-'90s rhymer Blizzard Man, is an incredibly bad rapper -- and not bad meaning good, but criminally bad. Sample lyric? "We wear novelty chains of enormous size!"

A music superstar who doesn't seem to notice is Diddy, who popped up in a sketch on last night's 'Saturday Night Live,' somehow believing Blizz is just the hitmaker to rescue his latest album in the works.

And when Blizz's bootylicious mom (host Robert De Niro) crashes the recording session to tout her son's talent? Well, the production team is fascinated, and possibly appalled, by the sexual chemistry that ensues. Have a look at the absurdity for yourself in this clip. DeNiro's not so smooth with his all-over-the-map dialect, but his commitment to the silly scene -- not to mention Samberg's -- makes it nearly impossible to look away.

Justin Bieber Abruptly Cancels TV Gig After Guest Is Injured in Stunt

By Christine Fenno  Posted Dec 5th 2010 01:18PM
Teen dreamboat Justin Bieber was booked to appear Saturday night on a popular German game show, but abruptly pulled out of the TV gig after a daredevil contestant, appearing on an earlier segment, was hospitalized when a stunt went terribly wrong during the live broadcast.

Samuel Koch, 23, got severely injured on the set of 'Wetten Dass' ('Bet it?'), according to an Associated Press report, when he strapped on "kangaroo" suspension boots and tried leaping over a moving car driven by his own father.

Viewers of the show -- on which Cher, Phil Collins, Cameron Diaz and Robbie Williams were also among the guests listed on the broadcaster's official site -- saw Koch lay motionless on the studio's floor after he fell midway through his dangerous stunt. Next, host Thomas Gottschalk reportedly called out for a doctor, as cameras panned away.

Bieber, 16, took to Twitter to ask fans to pray for Koch.

Brangelina And Twins Go Holiday Shopping in NYC

By PopEater Staff  Posted Dec 5th 2010 12:11PM
Bundled up for the chilly temps in New York City this weekend, Brad Pitt and longtime partner Angelina Jolie did some holiday shopping with their youngest kids, twins Knox and Vivienne -- who turned 2 in July -- in tow.

Jolie and family are in town after spending Thanksgiving in Paris because Monday is the New York premiere of her latest film, 'The Tourist,' co-starring Johnny Depp.

The famous foursome -- Pitt, toting their son, and Jolie, carrying their daughter -- were spotted by photographers and starstruck passersby as they exited Lee's Art Shop in midtown Manhattan.

It isn't the first time the jet-setting couple have patronized the neighborhood institution, which stocks stationery, home decor, lighting and art supplies; they've previously been seen shopping for gifts (Jolie is reportedly crazy about celebrating Christmas) at Lee's with all four of their older children in the past.

Today's 'Tron: Legacy' Premiere Across the Pond -- See Live Video Here

By Christine Fenno  Posted Dec 5th 2010 11:11AM
Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde and many more are zipping over to Leicester Square in London today to appear at the British premiere of 'Tron: Legacy.' And PopEater is thrilled to host a live feed from the blue carpet, courtesy of Livestream.

Oscar winner Bridges, 61, -- star of 1982's 'Tron' -- takes a dual role now, playing the movie's antogonist, CLU 2, a character digitally composed of old footage of a younger Bridges. He recently told reporters during a Los Angeles roundtable interview why he wanted to participate in the super-sleek new sequel (opening Dec. 17 in the U.S.), in which his original 'Tron' character, Kevin Flynn, goes missing: "I was most interested in taking part in creating a modern-day myth," he said. "You know, I thought we could use a good myth about technology to help guide us through these particular modern waters right now."

As for Wilde, 26, the New York City native was spotted at the Tokyo 'Tron: Legacy' premiere earlier this month. She portrays sexy cyber guide Quorra in the sci-fi saga, directed by Joseph Kosinski, who's also due to appear at today's London premiere and reveal some behind-the-scenes secrets.

The fun starts at 12:30 (Eastern Standard Time). Enjoy the live stream after the jump!
