Lea Michele’s Giorgio Armani Dress Looks Difficult to Sit Down In

Photo: Neilson Barnard/Getty Images

Lea Michele attended Billboard's Women In Music awards in New York last night, where she wore a strapless white Giorgio Armani dress with futuristic ruffles orbiting the skirt. The stiff tiers look like they would be crushed easily, so we hope Michele didn't have to do too much sitting that night.

What do you think of her architectural frock?

Bleecker Street Is the City’s Third Spendiest Retail Address

Bleecker Street, that outdoor mall nestled in Greenwich Village, is now New York City's third most expensive retail strip, trailing slightly behind Madison and Fifth Avenue. Earlier this week, a property housing Burberry and Michael Kors storefronts sold for $34 million, making it the city's third highest retail deal since 2003. Not even London's Bond Street or the Champs-Élysées in Paris can top the prices Bleecker Street commands. [Racked NY]

Behold: Sally Singer’s First T Issue

Photo: Courtesy of T magazine

For her debut issue at the helm of T, Sally Singer put Mick Jagger on the cover, explaining that the magazine is less fashion-focused now: “Not everyone who gets T is a devout follower of fashion," she told WWD. Even though it's the magazine's holiday issue, a title that's usually an excuse for jam-packing a publication full of products to buy while raking in advertising dollars, Singer will not be a slave to such inanities.

Natalia Vodianova Seems to Care a Lot About Soccer

Natalia Vodianova was one of Russia's delegated representatives to help snag the bid for the 2018 World Cup, which was declared yesterday. She rolled up to the announcement ceremony in a tight leopard-print dress and looked genuinely overjoyed when her country was called out. She'll reportedly take part in a nationwide effort to prepare Russia's cities for the event. [Modelinia]

Anna Dello Russo’s Fragrance Is Now on Sale

It's only $25 and comes in a gold-shoe bottle, available exclusively on yoox.com. Yet it comes with this note of caution: "This object isn't a traditional perfume bottle and must be handled with extreme care for it is extremely fragile. It could easily break into sharp fragments. Keep out of reach of children." But! ADR promises it smells like Christmas. [Yoox]

Gisele Plans to Continue Breeding

Happy news, everyone: Gisele wants more babies! She recently gushed about her son Benjamin and stepson Jack and how well they get along, prompting the public to just fathom the happiness more spawn would bring into her life.

"I want more kids for sure but I don't know when," Bundchen said. "Right now I have my hands full! I'm feeling very lucky. For Benjamin, his big brother is his hero. Jack comes in and Benjamin has a big smile. He wants to follow him around. Anything he does, he's just in awe of him like, 'Oh my God!'"

Yeah, because his parents — who shoot swimwear campaigns two months after giving birth and whose hair thinning is a topic of national intrigue — can just be so embarrassing sometimes.

Michael Kors Thinks More People Would Care About Pre-Fall If It Weren’t Called Pre-Fall

At Michael Kors's pre-fall collection yesterday, the designer bemoaned the season's name, which he blames for its lack of popularity. People just skip over pre-fall and go right to fall/winter clothes, he complained: “You see everyone in the front row bundled in furs and tweeds in September and it looks insane!" Resort collections, on the other hand, sell well because the name sounds appealing. "Everyone knows now that resort is important, but because the name 'pre-fall' is so ugly no one wants to acknowledge that these are the clothes you actually put in your closet." [Elle]

Slideshow: The Week in Street Style

Thanks to last week's holiday hiatus, there's a whole two weeks' worth of street-style snapshots to pore over today, which made it particularly difficult to choose the standouts. Of course, this means they're extra-great this week: Witness a red-lipped Coco Rocha in Paris, captured by Stockholm StreetStyle (shown), and Altamira's shot of Constance Jablonski. Other favorites include Aileen Belmonte's butter-yellow shirtdress on Chictopia and an unidentified woman in her blanket turned scarf on Glam Canyon. Click ahead to see them all.

Some Shareholders Are Bothered by the $16 Million Benefit Mickey Drexler Stands to Earn for Selling J.Crew

Mickey Drexler

J.Crew has been slapped with two lawsuits since announcing plans to go private, and at least seventeen law firms are known to be investigating the deal, according to WWD. Such investigations are to be expected when big companies make these kinds of deals and may not ultimately mean anything. But the chief complaints in the suits filed so far are that J.Crew and its board members helped each other breach fiduciary duty. The suits also cite conflicts with the deal since Goldman Sachs and Bank of America Merrill Lynch are already among J.Crews creditors but also provided financing to the firms in on the deal.

Video: A Riveting Behind-the-Scenes Look at Karl Lagerfeld’s Pirelli Calendar Shoot (NSFW)

A 24-minute behind-the-scenes video of Karl Lagerfeld's shoot of the 2011 Pirelli calendar, in which models portray ancient Greek and Roman gods, may be one of the most fascinating pieces of fashion film footage we've seen. Highlights include:

1. Expansive views of Karl's Paris studio, the walls of which are filled with so many books that it hurts the brain to imagine what he'd have to do if he ever found a bedbug.
2. Abbey Lee Kershaw speaking about Karl, especially when she calls him "the Einstein of high fashion."
3. Daria Werbowy pontificating about models. "We're kind of unearthly human beings," she says. No shit.

A Few Things to Know About Bruce Oldfield

If he is in fact the chosen one, don't expect any surprises from British designer Bruce Oldfield's dress for Kate Middleton. Though he came of age at a time when London was positively roiling with counterculture (he graduated from Central St. Martins in 1973 along with Katherine Hamnett), he's always been unapologetic about his very traditional approach: luxe fabrics, conservative cuts, glamorous clients of a certain age (Joan Collins is also a big Oldfield fan). He doesn't do runway, operates a shop in a very exclusive neighborhood of London, and bemoans the lack of elegance in the current generation. "It's gone, hasn't it?" he said to the U.K.'s Daily Mail in 2008. "We've sort of lost it ... I don't know why it's happened, but in a way it's become an age thing. I can think of a lot of women clients of mine who are well into their fifties or sixties who are still quintessentially very elegant ... but there don't seem to be any role models among the younger women.'"

Until now, of course.

Emily Blunt Wears Tom Ford’s Furry Blue Dress on the Cover of Harper’s Bazaar U.K.

The January cover of British Harper's Bazaar features a rouge-lipped Emily Blunt wearing one of Tom Ford's new designs (you can see a full-length image of Karen Elson modeling it for next month's Vogue here). Up close, the dress looks even softer, furrier, and almost Cookie Monster–esque. The issue hits newsstands on December 6. [Harper's Bazaar UK]

Tod’s Is Funding the Renovation of the Colosseum [Updated]

Photo: Tiziana Fabi/AFP/Getty Images

A few months ago the Italian government announced that they wanted to find a corporate sponsor to pay to renovate their Colosseum in Rome since they didn't have enough money to do it. Enter Tod's — the Italian fashion label known for classic driving loafers and handbags and that also sells a $4,900 alligator iPad case — which has decided to be that monumental savior. Tod's president, Diego Della Valle, said, "We believe that because the Tod’s Group is a strong global representative of ‘Made in Italy,’ it is both an honor and our duty to contribute to the support of our country’s image and credibility, as well as its cultural heritage." It's unclear if Tod's will reap any physical rewards from this in terms of signage on the building or something, but maybe tour guides can tell visitors their visit was made possible by ... Tod's.

Update: A Tod's rep informs us that the company has only submitted a bid to fund the project but has not landed it yet, contrary to reports.

Theory’s Andrew Rosen Is Supposedly Close to Buying a 45 Percent Stake in Proenza Schouler

Rosen is reportedly heading an investment company that would buy the 45 percent stake in the label currently held by Permira, the company that owns Valentino. Things looked suspicious when he was spotted at Proenza's table at a fashion gala awhile back, because you know business is going down when people like that eat together. Proenza designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez own the remaining 55 percent stake with their CEO, Shirley Cook. [WWD]

Naomi Campbell has been on her best behavior at Art Basel. According to a witness, she gave up her chair for Julian Schnabel at Tony Shafrazi's dinner party: "She jumped out of her seat to kiss him hello, then moved to another seat so he could sit next to Shafrazi." [Page Six/NYP]

Video: Conan Follows Through on Threat to Host His Show in Meggings

Wednesday night, Conan O'Brien professed his love of jeggings to Tim Gunn, who clearly disapproved but informed Conan that men wear them as well. Conan then suggested he wear them to host a show one night, to Gunn's further disapproval. Attention-seeking late-night-talk-show host that he is, he obviously made good on the threat, wearing man jeggings — or meggings — for his following show. One poor PA must have run to every Forever 21 in the state to get Conan such a dramatically sandblasted pair, which really brought out the shape of his thighs. Not that anyone was curious about that to begin with, but whatever. Watch Conan strut around in meggings in the video.
