Martha Stewart Congratulates Alan Cumming for an Emmy He Didn't Win (VIDEO)

    by Harley W. Lond, posted Dec 3rd 2010 7:52PM
We love it when perfect Martha Stewart makes a mistake.

Alan Cumming was on Friday's 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, 10AM ET on Hallmark) and before she showed the actor-writer-director-producer-composer how to make a glittered holiday wreath with sweetgum fruit she chatted about his non-existent Emmy award.

"You were in the 'Good Wife,' " she said to Cumming. "I am," Cumming responded. "You are," Martha said, "but last year you were." (Good cover up, Martha).

"And you won an award," she said.

"Oh no, I was only nominated. Martha, don't talk about it."

"Only nominated, oh my gosh" Martha said. (Oops)

John Lithgow won the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for 'Dexter.'

EXCLUSIVE 'Off the Map' Sizzle Reel & Details from Star Jason George (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 3rd 2010 6:15PM
'Off the Map' is the latest medical series from the ladies behind 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice,' Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and creator Jenna Bans.

If you haven't figured out their winning formula by now, this show proves that hot doctors plus interesting cases equals a sexy hit show. 'Off the Map' (premieres Wed., Jan. 12, 10PM ET on ABC) adds an exotic locale to the mix, with a Doctors Without Borders-style program taking these medical professionals to a remote South American jungle.

AOL TV has an exclusive sneak peek of the show, which star Jason George (remember him as Bailey's love interest, Dr. Ben Warren?) describes as "kind of like 'M*A*S*H,' but with a 'Romancing the Stone' tone. We're not in the middle of a war, but we are strangers in a strange land, and doing things our way, not necessarily the right -- or even the legal -- way. There's sterile and there's clean enough. We're definitely on the "clean enough" set. [Laughs]"

Chase'Chase' fans, your show is in trouble. NBC has cut the order of episodes from 22 to 18.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series has struggled in ratings and come January it will go against Fox's 'American Idol.'

Brandy Talks 'Dancing With the Stars,' Dating and a New Season of 'Brandy & Ray J'

by Kim Potts, posted Dec 3rd 2010 5:30PM
    Brandy and Ray J
You don't have to dig too far into 'Dancing With the Stars' fans' comments on blogs to gauge that most were -- and still are -- pretty upset that R&B pop diva Brandy Norwood and her 'DWTS' partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy finished in fourth place in the just-concluded 11th season, especially since many fans were looking at the duo as potential champs.

Brandy herself has a complete different take on the competition, however.

An Open Letter to Robert De Niro: Please Don't Stink On 'SNL' This Time Around

by Joel Keller, posted Dec 3rd 2010 5:00PM
Robert De Niro hosts 'SNL' this week. Let's hope he doesn't stink like the last time he hosted.Dear Bob,

(I can call you Bob, right? I mean, we've never met, but I feel like we can be chummy enough for me to do that... no? Well, Ok, let me try again...)

    Dear Mr. De Niro,

Despite the fact that I haven't seen a movie with you in it since the bitter and boring disappointment that was 'Showtime,' I'm still a huge fan of yours. Sure, you haven't exactly made the smartest career decisions over the last ten years; your most memorable roles lately seem to be in the endless stream of 'Fockers' movies that inflict themselves on the public every few years. But you built up plenty of goodwill with me over the decades, through movies as diverse as 'Taxi Driver' and 'Midnight Run' (still one of my favorites), for me to forgive the 21st century portion of your IMDb profile.

So, as a big fan of yours, I'm here, on my virtual knees. I don't usually beg anyone for anything, as I have my pride. But, pride be damned; I'm begging you right here and now:

Please don't suck on 'SNL' this weekend like you did the last time you hosted. I just can't go through that again.

Sarah PalinIt's the team-up of the century: Kate Gosselin and Sarah Palin are going camping in the Alaskan wilderness. Yes, the time has finally come for the two very polarizing women to meet.

On Sun., Dec. 5 at 9PM, Gosselin and her clan travel to 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' for a special ratings stunt camping trip. In the preview clip from Us Weekly below, Gosselin whines about being cold and hungry, Palin shoots some guns and lots of kids run around.

"She is going to rely on me to protect her," Palin says while wielding a shotgun. Uh-mazing.

But kudos to Kristen Wiig for trying in these funny new promos for this weekend's 'Saturday Night Live,' featuring De Niro as host and Diddy Dirty Money as the musical guest.

If Diddy has something to say about it, though, he'll take part in some skits too. The musician-turned-actor tweeted earlier this week, "OK SO DENIRO DONT KNOW IT YET BUT WE DOIN A SKIT TOGETHER ON SNL. BECAUSE I SAID SO. ITS LIVE TV SO IMMA BUMRUSH THE STAGE LILMAMA STYLE LOL."

Swag for Charity: Buy Cool TV Stuff, Help Those in Need

by Maureen Ryan, posted Dec 3rd 2010 3:40PM
Last spring, after a major earthquake hit Haiti, I tried to think of a way to help the people of that devastated country.

I ended up putting dozens of TV-related promotional items, pieces of memorabilia, DVDs and books up for auction on eBay, and TV fans bowled me over with their support for the cause. Over the course of a month or so, between the eBay auctions and some other efforts, we raised more than $12,000 for Partners in Health, a respected medical charity with clinics and doctors all over Haiti.

Given how well that went (and I give a ton of the credit to the readers who bought things and to a dedicated crew of 'Chuck' fans who helped a lot with the whole enterprise), I thought I'd try another eBay charity auction during this holiday season. This time, there are items from 'True Blood,' 'House,' 'Fringe,' 'Community,' 'Supernatural,' Conan O'Brien's show, 'Doctor Who' and several other shows for sale. One hundred percent of the purchase price of every eBay auction item will go to Partners in Health.

Read on for more info on what's being offered right now and what kind of items will be up for auction soon.

Watch Glenn Close, Jason Alexander, Ricki Lake and Other Random Famous People Lip Sync 'Let It Be'

by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 3rd 2010 2:40PM
Glenn CloseThe Norwegian TV station TV2 must have a GIGANTIC promotional budget, because there's no other explanation for how they managed to gather so many random famous people to lip sync a cover of The Beatles' 'Let It Be' to promote their 'Golden Times' program.

We're not actually sure what 'Golden Times' is, but somehow such luminaries as Glenn Close, Jason Alexander, Ricki Lake, Dolph Lundgren, Tonya Harding, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Roger Moore, Huey Lewis, George Wendt, Steve Guttenberg, one half of Milli Vanilli and SO MANY MORE PEOPLE got paid to shill for it. They even tracked down the little boy who played a young Forrest Gump.

No words can really do this justice, so please just watch the entire 6 minutes after the jump.

In the premiere episode of 'The Hasselhoffs,' the appropriately titled reality show he filmed with his two daughters that debuts on A&E this Sunday, the Hoff wasted no time in addressing his very personal troubles -- to a room full of college students, no less.

In TV Squad's exclusive clip, watch the Hoff speak to students in daughter Taylor's psychology class at the University of Arizona. He gets very candid about his alcoholism and his sadness at the private tape leaking to the tabloids.

Not enough Hoff for you? We'll have an interview with all the Hasselhoffs -- David, Taylor and Hayley -- in a few days.

'The Hasselhoffs' premiere airs Sun., Dec. 5 at 10PM.
