Looks like Rachel, Finn, Santana, Kurt and the rest of the Glee Club at McKinley High won't be around forever. 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy told Australia's
Herald Sun that the current group of kids won't stay in high school indefinitely. He plans to add new students each year instead of the show following the same group of students endlessly.
"Every year we're going to populate a new group," Murphy said. "There's nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot.
"I think you have to be true to the fact that here is a group of people who come and go in these teachers' lives--they graduate and they're gone," he continued. "When some of them finish their run at high school it will be very teary episodes."
Happily, we have a few more years with the current cast--Murphy acknowledged Puck, Mercedes, and the rest of New Directions wouldn't graduate until 2012. But will people still care about the show without its current stars?
points out that many shows have struggled with graduation and whether or not the cast (and show) is still relevant after the main stars leave high school. 'The OC,' 'Saved By the Bell,' 'One Tree Hill' and 'Gossip Girl' are just a few that have tried--some successfully, some not so much.
Only time, and lots and lots of singing, will tell.

I think Ryan Murphy is a genius! Give some other young singer/actors a chance for stardom! I have a niece that has the chops for this show and she will blow your mind if given a chance.

Thank you John. This show is still in the parodied, copied, reinacted, and still making headlines. It still has a top notch producer and directors, and artists are still scrambling to get their songs featured in Glee. And still features relevant story lines. This show still has years left in it. Sam couldn't be more wrong.

Glee sucks BOOTY ! !! !! ! ! ater the first season, it went STRAIGHT down the drain. now it has sold out and they even trying to throw in som sex scenes???? wtf??? so much for a family show. as soon as these wack mofos leave, it'll only get worse.
p.s the singing sucks some pretty serious butt too ;D
