Here's something we completely approve of: According to Nikki Finke, the Academy has asked Anne Hathaway and James Franco to jointly host February's Oscars, "and it looks like both have accepted the offer." Finke says that either could still back out owing to prior commitments, but "the host announcement could be made as soon as this week." Hathaway earned Vulture's stamp of approval for her work at the Jackman Oscars of 2009, and regular readers of our site probably don't even need to ask how we feel about presumable nominee Franco (we love him). We look forward to their gory, nudity-filled opening number.
