MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - The first space tourist, U.S. millionaire Dennis Tito, will arrive in Moscow in late June, a source in Space Adventures' Russian office told Interfax.
The source said that the head of Space Adventures, Eric Anderson, will arrive in Russia together with Tito. Space Adventures organized the flights of the first space tourists, Dennis Tito and Mark Shuttleworth.
The source said that Tito and Shuttleworth are planning to meet with top representatives in Russia's space exploration industry.
"It is possible that they will discuss the possibility of investing in the development of a Russian spacecraft for sub- orbital space tourism," the source said.
The source also said that Tito is planning to meet with Russian cosmonauts Yuri Baturin and Talgat Musabayev, who accompanied him on his flight to space.
Besides that, the source said, Tito will support his fellow space tourist, Greg Olsen, who is currently undergoing flight training in Star City. "Dennis Tito is expected to be in Russia for about ten days, and he will meet with journalists before his departure," the source said.
Tito became the world's first space tourist in April 2001, when he was taken to the International Space Station. He was in space for 7 days, 22 hours, 4 minutes and 3 seconds.
