San Francisco Magazine revived their FallFest this past weekend in Justin Herman Plaza, and they picked a perfect Indian Summer day, bathed in sun, and only occasionally interrupted by Blue Angels screeching by overhead. It was the last in a series of foodievents this summer, and highlights for us included Il Cane Rosso's delicious beef tongue crostini; Perbacco's red pepper and "bagna cauda" crostini; Nombe's delicious tuna sashimi ball; Comstock Saloon's "Hang-town-style" hors d'oeuvre and vintage punch; and the salted caramel bar with caramel ganache from the Ritz.
