Video: A Stylish Stroller Brigade Infiltrates Brooklyn’s First Barneys Co-Op

  • 10/15/10 at 4:10 PM

Yesterday Barneys Co-Op flung open the doors of its first Brooklyn store in Cobble Hill. No one was waiting in line for the 10 a.m. opening, but once the store officially opened for business, shoppers — many of them wielding strollers with stylish sunglasses- and fur vest-wearing kids — entered with hungry looks in their eyes. Before the mobs of daytime shoppers infiltrated, we got a private tour of the new space with Barneys creative director Simon Doonan. He's having a cape moment, though not for himself personally. "I'm a midget," he explains. Check out the new store and hear more of Doonan's thoughts on fall fashion and curvy models (not really "in!") in the video.
