Lots of stars have tried the daring mohawk throughout the years, and now we can count model Agyness Deyn as one of them. Earlier today at a photocall in London, Agyness showed off her new look, but she's no stranger to wearing adventurous styles. Not only has she tried a variety of hair colors, but she's also very experimental with her haircuts, from bowl cuts to buzz cuts. Agyness is one of those lucky people who could wear just about anything and still look amazing, and I think she pulls off the mohawk rather nicely. What do you say?
When you think about where the flagship store for a luxury brand like Givenchy might open, a few places probably come to mind: New York, LA, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, etc. But if you guessed any of those fair cities, you'd be wrong.
Givenchy has just announced that it'll be putting its first US storefront in Disney World, specifically in the faux France section of Epcot. The placement makes sense, since Givenchy is very much a French brand, and I'm sure the boutique will do insane amounts of business. Still, it's an interesting choice for a company that otherwise trades on its exclusivity and cache. Do you think this was a good move on the company's part? And next time you're making a visit to the Great Mouse, will you consider visiting the Givenchy boutique (right after you ride Spaceship Earth, but before you hit up Oktoberfest, of course)?
Regular massages may seem like an extravagance, but mounting evidence suggests that getting rubdowns has plenty of benefits for your well-being. Most recently, a study from The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that a single session of Swedish massage reduced the stress hormone cortisol, which has been linked to a bevy of nasty effects, including unhealthy weight gain. The study also found that massage increased lymphocytes (or immune-system-supporting white blood cells) and that simply receiving a light massage increased levels of oxytocin, the "good feeling" hormone responsible for comfort and contentment. Given that massages can help make you happier, healthier, and maybe even keep you from gaining weight, it makes more sense than ever to recruit your friends or significant other to give you that weekly back rub.
