Tik, Tok, it's Ke$ha time! She's chosen a little black dress that's anything but simple for tonight's awards. If you look closely you'll notice a garbage bag-esque fabric, bustle-detailing and a faux-fur neck trim. Her accessories include mismatched earrings, oversized coloured rings, a diamante clutch and patent wedges. This is a fierce look for the Video Music Award nominee, but I'm not so sure it's hitting all the right notes. What do you think?
Florence Welch shows why she's been high on everyone's fashion radar lately, sporting a Givenchy Haute Couture Fall '10 lace gown. Few people could pull off this dramatic look, but Florence does so with ease. The muted gold-tone works beautifully with Flo's red locks, and the zipper detailing makes the coverd-up look seem more sexy than stiff. I'm sure this ensemble will divide most people, but I really likey. How about you?
Givenchy enthusiast Ciara brings a little goth-inspired sexiness to the carpet tonight. A lacy sheer bodice gets finished with feathered fringed, and she chooses a pair of creamy strapped wedges to amp up the fun. It's a high-fashion look which wouldn't look out of place on the runway, but I'm not so sure it translates here tonight. Do you love this look?
Oh la la, check it out! Selena Gomez is trading her cutesy image for something a little more flash and zexy for tonight's Video Music Awards. Her Reem Acra silver gown boasts a gorgeous corset-style bustline with embellished metallic and blue baubles, while the bottom half reveals a ruched-detail waistband and thigh-high split. Her aluminium-style ensemble was finished off with Brian Atwood Kendall pumps. I don't usually favour flashy styles like this, but for some reason Selena's really floating my fashion boat tonight! You?
Twilight stunner Ashley Greene showed off her stems in a white and black, lacy strapless mini from Giambattista Valli's Resort '11 collection and Jimmy Choo pumps. Intricate black lace bodice and a bow at the waist are pretty details, and she amps up the romantic look with a jeweled cuff and drop earrings from Ofira. It's a flirty style which I can see hundreds of girls trying to emulate come school formal time! I like it but don't love, how about you?
Katy Perry wasn't shy on showing a bit of skin at tonight's MTV Video Music Awards. Her one-sleeved Marchesa Fall '10 dress boasted a transparent top with only strategically placed black embroidery covering up her modesty. The dress flowed into a white ruffled mini hemline and was finished off with some sparkly Jimmy Choo star-embellished stilettos and an M.C.L black diamond ring. This is classic Perry style. Do you rate it?
Easy A star Emma Stone stepped out on the white carpet in a slick leather Pucci mini dress. It's a little tough, but not overly edgy, finished simply with a purple pop via her woven clutch, a pair of glittering Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and a quartz and diamond ring from Samantha Elizabeth. I'm thinking Emma's nailed the VMA's styling brief — flirty, fun and just a little bit rock star. I'm going to be paying close attention to this newbie hottie as I'm loving her vibe. Are you feeling it?
Disco Diva Lo Bosworth arrived at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards sporting a Gabriela Cadena metallic gold one-sleeved dress. Her '80s inspired look was accessorised with matching earrings, a cocktail ring, and some strappy black heels. I'm thinking a toned-down Rihanna may have been her inspiration for tonight's ensemble, but I'm not so sure she's pulled it off. The matchy accessories and feminine heels are a little too safe for my liking. Whaddya think?
Stand back people, Lady Gaga's in da house! She just arrived on the white carpet in an over-the-top getup, but did you expect anything less? Tonight's Gaga-style consists of a gold feather headpiece and Renaissance-inspired gown, both by Alexander McQueen. This covered-up look is a lot more subdued than her previous awards show choices, and you may remember this gown from her recentVanity Fair spread. Looks like Gaga gets inspired by magazine shoots, just like the rest of us! Do you rate her look?
Stephanie Pratt chose to trial the maxi-trend this evening, sporting a beaded nude Nicole Miller gown for the MTV Video Music Awards. Her covered-up look is a far cry from her usual mini frocks, but one which suits her lean frame well. I'm loving this new silhouette and understated colour combo, but I feel that the tri-top and spaghetti-strap style is a teeny bit dated — do you agree?
