How bad was MOTD2 last night?

Extremely awkward viewing, especially when Phil Brown started to talk about how he had been spending his time in the company of some kind of "life-coach".

Only thing more uncomfortable was when he seemed to put himself forward for the Villa job.

The reporter sounded so crushd when 'arry swore at him.

Probably went home to hav a cry.

Inzaghi eh.. He can play on till he's 40. Van the man is also still doing it.

Milan for Serie A. Zlatan is the luckiest of lucky charm.

I don't care what happened at Barcelona, he's still awesome.

disappointed the pod didn't, y'know, talk about other lliga matches beyond mallorca/reial. barca against racing with three magnificent goals from messi, iniesta and villa surely merited some discussion? valencia without the davids look strong in attack anyway? sevilla win with konko doing a dani alves impression? fernando llorente? etc.

that harry video is hilarious. he's such a bitch.

    @coltrane27;

Hypocrisy is clearly an essential quality for any football manager.

Thus, it was great to see that after Wenger's criticism of Stoke for playing rugby, Marouane Chamakh took it on himself to personally hold down Christopher Samba.

    CLASSIC wenger, no?

I mean all football managers do it, but he's the master.

When willl the goalkeeping merrry-go-round start and stop.

RIGHT NOW it looks like Given is going to stay at Man City, which will mean Scwarzer looks likely to stay at Fulham and so Almunia looks destined to stay Arsenal's number 1.

Unless a last second move for Ajax Stekelenburg who has stated he's not interested since they have reached the CL group stage.

Wenger been playing a funny game aint he all because he wont pay £4m for one the European football's top keepers.

Thank god Glendenning's not on this pod - he probably exploded in a cloud of smugness after Spurs' result on Saturday. We were shocking mind you, Dawson is starting to worry me in defence and we played as if we were kids who had watched The Exorcist the night before and were so scared by it they couldn't do a thing by the time the match came around.

Except Mallorca, a club which has no money whatsoever, was denied entry into European competition because they've placed themselves in administration, and sold its two best players (as usual) over the summer, that is, of course.

Its the first game and he's still experimenting. When you sign so many players its only logical that they will take time to gel.Plus, unlike at Chelsea and Inter where he started off well,at Real he has an embarrassment of riches. The fact that Caneles started ahead of Ozil speaks volumes about the boy. At Chelsea he knew the core of the team , Cech,Terry,Carvalho,Gallas,Lampard,Makalele,Drogba et al...At Real its definitely going to take time, but results will be evident soon enough.A pragmatic start may be on the cards but by the end of the season aided by the return of Kaka, this team will be challenging on all fronts...
Credits to Mallorca, or Laudrup rather...More or less expected this having seen his managerial exploits with Getafe two years back...He is going to be a great manager, Laudrup.

    happygoth,

The bizarre thing about it is that his team's supporters don't actually notice. "A card sharp in a professor's gown".

    Notice what?

    ;)

    moBbad,

    CLASSIC wenger, no?

I mean all football managers do it, but he's the master.

If he wins the title again I'd prefer to call him the master for that reason than for hypocrisy!

Also agree that it's ridiculous to have a La Liga round-up with so little mention of other clubs. I thought the Valencia performance was worthy of mention, specifically regarding a player that now has a chance to prove himself a more consistent performer in Joaquin plus their new signings. Bit too much talk of the politics behind the scene which is clearly a mess but that seems a constant, not worthy of discussion every week at the expense of discussion of actual matches.
