The top stories are updated regularly on the guardian.co.uk front page. For a rapidly-updated digest of all the top stories, visit the newslist. The UK latest and World latest sections include the latest reports from the Associated Press and Ananova, updated 24 hours a day. You can also choose to open a separate window on your computer desktop which will refresh itself automatically every five minutes with UK wire headlines.
