Hazel Blears digs deeper

Hazel Blears has issued a grovelling apology for the way she flounced out of Cabinet last week. She’s apologised for just about everything on the charge sheet being presented against her by those in her constituency who want to de-select her. Hence the contrite tone. You can can’t watch it below*, but this is the u-turn of a politician who is suddenly afraid – very afraid – that her career is doomed.
