If you are a lover of British birds then this superb quartz movement wall clock will really delight you. Measuring 8 inches in diameter each hour reached is signified by a bird call.
The 12 birds represented on this unique clock are the Nightingale, Wren, Tawny Owl, Cuckoo, Blackbird, Blue Tit, Song Thrush, Robin, Great Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Chaffinch and Barn Owl. Each bird will give its own song on the hour and within no time you will know the hour by simply recognising the birdsong.

This is the most ridiculous item and we can't remember why we thought it might be a good idea. It can't be the same clock as the ones described in the other comments. The bird songs sound like feeble metal crickets and squeaky hinges, and are irritating beyond belief. Now we know why our friend said she'd just sent hers to the boot fair. Oh well. It made us laugh.

The clock is a joy. It was a birthday present for my 96 yr old mum and she loves it.

I got this as a present last Christmas. It takes 4 AA batteries, and I have not had to change them yet. The Tawny Owl is great (I had the real thing in my garden in September!) and the birds only chirrup or hoot when there is light.

Novel We love it.A relative heard it whilst we were on the phone and she wants one now. Only problem, is it the clock inside or the birds singing in the garden?
