The Development Operations Coordination Office (DOCO) regularly organizes workshops, seminars and retreats for communications officers. The core content of the workshops covers joint strategic communication, including ways to strengthen UN Communications Groups and draft a joint communications strategy that is aligned and integrated with the UNDAF, and how to use communications to promote coherence, effectiveness and relevance. Training in other specialized communication topics such as advocacy and stakeholder engagement, media relations, writing, and message development, can also be provided on request. |
