Mission accomplished!

Well we finally completed our Unite4Labour Prescott Express tour of key seats across the country. We covered 71 seats and travelled 5,000 miles in the back of our Ford Transit van - and let me tell you I felt every pothole and bump! This was my fourth and last General Election battle bus tour following the ones in 1997, 2001, 2005. So it was fiting to revisit the first seat I ever visisted on my battle bus in 1997 for Clive Efford - and handy too. Our sat nav managed to pack in just as we approached Eltham so having former London cabbie Clive guide us in was a godsend. You can't beat someone with 'the knowledge.' They put on a lovely welcoming reception though I got a little mixed up over the number of miles we'd covered. Should have looked behind my back for a reminder! This was my 71st seat visit - one for each year of his life and the 5000-mile tour was the equivalent to travelling from John O Groates to Land's End SIX TIMES. It's been really great to be...
