Hundreds of millions of people will face reduced crop yields, water shortages, coastal flooding and hunger due to the effects of climate change, according a report by the UN intergovernmental panel on climate change. Africa, the "mega-deltas" of Asia and polar regions are particularly threatened, the report said.
