For the past few years, the (essentially nonexistent) career of Lindsay Lohan has been something of a running Hollywood punchline — but now, especially in light of her endless litany of personal troubles, the whole thing is just getting sort of sad. The troubled actress was just dropped from The Other Side, a movie she was set to star in about a grad student working on a deserted island. The film’s writer/director, David Michaels, told TMZ, “Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we'll soon be announcing a replacement.” Lohan will be appearing in the upcoming Robert Rodriguez film Machete, though who would really be surprised at this point if they announce her part has been cut?
