The bloody and tragic tale comes to an end as, one way or another, each of the remaining ninja must confront their fates. The ultimate result shouldn't surprise, but the entertainment is in seeing how it gets there and enjoying the fine visuals along the way.
The first volume of the second TV series pretty much offers more of the same: a mild, pleasant, and bland blend of romance and comedy long on sugar but short on spice. A sweet tooth may be required to fully appreciate it.
A drama that is as much about being young and having dreams as it is about romance. But unlike its more fanciful shounen and shoujo cousins, it has a cold adult eye for the realities of both, and a warm affection for those in the process of coming to grips with them.

Tekkon Kinkreet is the spiritual successor to X: The Movie. It's very pretty and pushes the envelope of visuals animators can create, and does so at the expense of anything that makes us care.

Millennium Snow GN 1
The first manga series by the creator of Ouran High School Host Club, this shojo manga stands at least slightly above the norm despite its weak artistry. It is almost worth checking out for its great side story alone.

The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service GN 3
The logical preciseness of a police procedural, combined with classic themes of beyond-the-grave spirituality—yet Kurosagi is far from formulaic, and it often takes unexpected detours of plot.
