A big sloppy mess with some snazzy imagery, a few cutting shards of romance, and some excellent acting by a top-flight cast.
Though hardly essential for full appreciation of the TV series, these two episodes are a nice complement to the original. They don't match the quality of the original's storytelling but do fill in some gaps and provide a fuller picture of what was going on and why.
