Chronology:
(1981-05) Loudness formed following Akira Takasaki and Munetaka Higuchi's departure from LAZY.
(1981-08) Debut album Birthday Eve released.
(1983) Law of Devil's land released. Last album to be completely recorded in Japanese.
(1984) Disillusion released. English version released in the European market.
(1985) Thunder in the East released. "Crazy Night" becomes a chart hit in the U.S.
(1988) Jealousy marks Minoru Niihara's last work with the band.
(1989) Soldier of Fortune marks Mike Vescera's debut as the band's lead vocalist.
(1991) On the Prowl released. Vescera leaves the band afterwards to join Yngwie Malmsteen's band.
(1992) Loudness introduces fans to new vocalist Masaki Yamada (formerly of EZO).
(1994) Heavy Metal Hippies marks the departure of bassist Yamashita and drummer Higuchi.
(1997) Ghetto Machine released, featuring new bassist Naoto Shibata and drummer Hirotsugu Honma.
(1998) Engine marks the final work of Yamada, Shibata and Honma as members of Loudness.
(2001) Spiritual Canoe marks the return of the original Loudness lineup.
