Anime Secrets is please to announce that Agent dheu will be attending Sakura-Con as a member of the press, and Mercenary Agent Misty will be attending Anime Matsuri as a press representative for us. I'd like to wish both ladies good luck, and hope they have fun!

Also I'm sure by now some of you have caught on that Anime Secrets is hosting a Dungeons and Dragons game through the forums and irc. The games are being run by MadHatter, the Dungeon Master. If you are interested in joining the game, or learning more about the event, please check out the forums

Well the Halloween Cosplay Contest has come to an end (ironically on Christmas Day), and I'd like to first of all congratulate all entrants of the contest for helping to make our first Cosplay Contest such a success. In the end we were only able to select three entries as our winners, in addition to eight Honorable Mentions. All results of the contest may be found here. Expect all contestant entries to be uploaded in the next two to three days for general viewing. Thanks once again to everyone, especially Funimation who will be distributing prizes to all winners, and Merry Christmas to everyone, and a Happy New Year!

After much deliberation, the Anime Secrets Halloween Cosplay 2008 Contest is finally nearing the end. All the judges have come together, voted, and narrowed down our selection from fifty-six entrants to seven entrants fighting for the rights of 2nd and 3rd places (1st place is already determined). However, to select the 2nd and 3rd place winners, we are calling in the help of you, the community and visitors. There is a poll on the forums where I encourage all of you to vote. Polls close on December 21st at 12:20 AM Central Time.

After eleven years of airtime, the Cartoon Network action block, Toonami has been discontinued as of September 20th, 2008. For some this news may not mean much, and for others it means the end of a childhood memory. However, I would like to take a moment to bid Toonami farewell, and thank the producers of Toonami for helping the evolution of anime on the North American continent.
