Ace wo Nerae! (live-action TV [2004])Very goodThis had some of the fakest special effects you will ever see, but the characters look good enough it even had my mother thinking about the original anime series that she watched. It's not the greatest series in the world, but it would be worth your time.
Adventure Kid (OAV)Not really goodThis looked okay in the beginning, zombies that needed to get some good times rolling. It was actually an interesting storyline, having to fight some vengeful spirit from 50 years ago that watched his wife get raped so he was going to have his revenge on his wife's reincarnation. What?! That kind of didn't make sense. Also the A-bomb gimmic is one I can't comment for sure, but the last episode didn't really have to do with the first two at all, more like a filler that didn't really need to be there, as with most instances.
(The) Adventures of Mini-Goddess (TV)Decent
Akira (movie)ExcellentWhat amazed me was how the characters reactions and emotions were expressed, and the voices really were able to contribute to the characters as well. Another winner for this anime was the soundtrack, which reminded me of a Hayao Miyazaki movie. Truly a great movie for the era in which it was made.
Angel Sanctuary (OAV)GoodAt first I thought because this was a three episode OAV they'd finish the entire thing, but they simply ran the manga's course, and left it open at the end. Even though they left out a few minor characters here and there, it was good to see this to the end. I recommend, however, to just read the manga, because you get a whole lot more of it.
Appleseed (movie)Excellent
Battle Programmer SHIRASE (TV)Very good
Battle Royale (live-action movie)DecentThe acting wasn't so great, the character of Nanahara Shuya was immature and naive, and some of the killings' cinematography wasn't well mapped.
Berserk (TV)Very goodI was amazed at how close they followed the manga, which is why this was so great right until the very last episode where they just, cut off?! When you have endings like that, you kill off a chance to make a second season. You just don't do what they did.
Blood: The Last Vampire (movie)So-soThey had to have gotten American voice actors to play the part of the Americans. This movie had some of the cleanest sounding Enlgish I've ever heard in an anime, much less a Japanese show. Although I felt that it was kind of lacking in certain parts, cinematography or something, there just wasn't enough you got to know about the girl until the end where you find out she's been around for quite a long time. A vampire.
BloodShadow (OAV)Good
Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan (TV)Very good
Cool Devices (OAV)So-so
Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Mouretsu! Otona Teikoku no Gyakushuu (movie)Good
Cromartie High - The Movie (live-action)So-soIt started out great, following the beginnings of the manga. After Masked Takenouchi came in, it all went downhill from there. Especially about the Excorsist reference, and the Boueitai thing just killed it. It's good to watch and get a few laughs, but to me it seemed like the Scary Movies.
Dark Love (OAV)
Death Note (live-action movie)Excellent
Demon Beast Invasion (OAV)Weak
Demon Warrior Koji (OAV)So-so
Digimon Adventure 02 (TV)Very good
Doomed Megalopolis (OAV)ExcellentOkay, so a guy who's made up of vengeful spirits is going to have his way and destroy Tokyo, and the way he's going to do it is through a woman. When I first saw the cover for this anime, I thought it was M. Bison from Street Fighter (lol). To the point, this was a pretty interesting storyline, where the events in this anime get tied to the Great Kanto Earthquake which devestated Tokyo. Although it was borderline tentacle rape in there, and Tatsumiya will be added to my "loser" character list, because he was sick and perverted, and sired his daughter by his sister. What I want to know is how did Yukiko know that Tatsumiya was her father?
Doraemon: Nobita and the Legend of the Sun King (movie)So-so
Doraemon: Nobita's Galactic Express (movie)Excellent
Doraemon: Nobita's the Night Before a Wedding (movie)So-so
Doraemon: Nobita's Winged Heroes (movie)So-so
(The) Doraemons: The Mysterious Thief Dorapan The Mysterious Cartel (movie)Decent
Dorami & Doraemons: Robot School's Seven Mysteries (movie)Good
(The) Duchess of Busty Mounds (OAV)Decent (raw), Good (dub)On a note, it's a hentai, an okay storyline, but how can you have so much sex you get a heartattack? When I watched the English dub after the Japanese dub, the latter dialogue did not match the former at all. The English dub was simple, made to be that of a regular American porn movie. The girls would keep calling the guy f***face, and then he would say, "Why does everybody keep calling me f***face?!" When in the Japanese dub, he's not even saying anything. Final note, those were some BIG jugs.
Elfen Lied (TV)Very goodTruly a legacy, this defies all limits of what you may have seen before. Lucy, an experiment having gone ballistic, is tearing up the facility she's at while trying to escape. And plenty of heads roll and enough blood is spilled to last you a year or two if you're not someone who's used to blood. She escapes after being shot, but now has a duel personality and has to face her past demons, while Kohta must also share in that fate. Truly a sad story when you get down to the core, everybody has a dark past, but the bondings of the characters and their getting past the hardships definetly draw you to the characters. I do recommend this to anyone save for the faint at heart. But really, this is one of the best ones I have seen yet.
Escaflowne: The MovieVery good
Excel Saga (TV)So-so (dub), Very good (raw)
Fatal Fury: The Motion PictureVery goodWith certain shows I've seen based on video games, they've not been so great. The last two that I've seen however, have not been disappointing. They kept the cast from the games down to a minimum, but where the minor characters came up it was good. They got their screen time, and didn't do anything not needed. Then you get the characters original to the movie, and they were good also. The four main characters of the game were Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi and the sexy Mai Shiranui. All were played well in my opinion, Terry's voice was especially interesting. His voice sounded like an amateur in a way, but that's what connected you to his character. The relationships came out in the end, and there were tragedies, with a good closer.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (movie)Very good (raw & dub)
FLCL (OAV)Excellent
Free Zone (OAV)
Fruits Basket (TV)Very goodI thought this was a pretty good series to say the least. Though there was filler material in there, I thought it was going well until the end, which in my mind, having read tha manga, felt they could have done differently. However they wanted to close it with everybody being on good terms, but I feel as an avid fan of the manga, don't think I could live with it. Given the poor ending (in my mind), I still think it's a great comedy that anybody can enjoy, and there are some things in there to think about in life also.
Ghost in the Shell (movie)Very good
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (movie)So-so

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG (TV)Masterpiece
Grappler Baki (OAV)GoodThis is the debut of Baki, an unknown who is in a karate tournament and has beaten everybody with just one hit. After he wins the tournament we go down to the battle grounds under the Tokyo Dome, where Baki fights Kosho Shinogi, an expert in the martial arts, but his specialty seems to be cutting people up from the inside. So Baki gets some cords cut inside his arm and neck when Kosho pierces the skin to do so, and it sounds like it hurts. But in the end Baki is able to counter with half of his vision left, and take out Kosho, just like he planned on it.
Grave of the Fireflies (movie)Very good
Happy Lesson (TV)Decent
Hellsing (TV)ExcellentThe first episode just opened my eyes to how great this series really is. The nature of Arucard makes you like him from the beginning, where he just doesn't give a damn about any vampire he is about to exterminate. The other compelling story to this series is what happens with Seras Victoria with her struggles and views as she has to adapt to her new ways of living as a vampire. At first, she is disgusted at the thought of even drinking blood, but the nature of a vampire without blood for a long time will make the thirst even worse as we discover in later episodes. The villians were also some of the best I've seen, Paladin Alexander, the Valentine Brothers, and Incognito. Add onto that the soundtrack and theme songs were some of the best to be put into this series, and had me even watching the ending and opening sequences without skipping through them. One of the best I've seen so far yet.
Ichi the Killer (live-action movie)DecentOne of the most brutal manga series in the history of Japan, and this has to be the live action version. There were a couple characters either left out here and there or characters from the series that were way underdeveloped and you knew nothing about them. Though I think if they tried showing a lot of the violence that was in the manga in the movie, it would have never made the cut. The starring role is the guy who plays Kakihara, and I think he had the best deal to make his character known on the screen.
Ikki Tousen (TV)Very good

Insatiable (OAV)Not really good
Jin-Roh - The Wolf Brigade (movie)Excellent
Jungle Emperor Leo: The MovieExcellent
Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren (movie segment)ExcellentSome great bloody action, while it was even in Japanese.

Lupin III: Episode 0 'First Contact' (special)Excellent
Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo (movie)Very good
Magic Woman M (OAV)So-soThis was interesting, though there wasn't enough background to the main character (not there needs to be in a movie of this nature). It was funny to see how "blonde" she was in the first chapter, when she had no idea that she was about to be raped, though when it happened, and what came of it, made me cringe. The second episode I felt, was a poor attempt to revive this series, and also made me suspect that this anime is based off a game. The animation of it looks like it was made by someone who does kids shows.
Mahya the Servant (OAV)BadPure idiocy and nothing great about it. Poor voice acting and just downright dumbness.
Marine A Go-Go (OAV)Decent(Some explicit material in this comment) What's so interesting about hearing about these hentai's and then going to watch them is what's said on the packaging doesn't 100% match what the actual movie is about. But anyway, this movie was funny. Marine is a ditz, the professor has some crazy ideas and a big d***, South Pole One really knows how to perform a***, and the professor's assistant can't stay dry when thinking of him. What was funny was stuff when Marine didn't get it and it had to be explained to her. And then the last gang bang was pretty good. NOT for little kids, and plenty of bouncing huge boobs.
Masquerade (OAV)Good
(The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV)So-so
Miami Guns (TV)Excellent
Midnight Sleazy Train (OAV)DecentSex on a train. Sex on a train with one women per car and several men. Gang rape? Or gang bang? In this instance, gang bang seems more appropriate. This one actually does itself justice with the storyline being presented, though Tetsuo can't bring himself to the fact that he likes his childhood friend, but this would be common in all anime. In the end he gets his girl, they save the railway, and everything is back to order.
Midnight Sleazy Train Track 2 (OAV)Not really good (raw & dub)Apparently after stopping the Midnight Sleazy Train some people got horny, so they moved to the city and started an organization. That's all we need, great. With a majority of the victims being from Anthrium High School, an all girls school located near the railway, and possibly where the secondary headquarters of the organization is located. There are some mysteries in there which brings a little interest to the storyline, but not enough. I think this one is outdone by it's predecessor.
Mission of Darkness (OAV)Excellent (dub & raw)This was my first tentacle rape hentai, but it totally delivered on comedy. At first it started out pretty violent (I guess that's to be expected from a tentacle rape hentai), but the mood all changed leading up to the climax and the last battle. It was just, funny. The Ultraman reference was just insane. It was good enough that I felt I had to watch the English dub, and I'm glad I did. The jokes were right on target, and I don't know if they meant to be serious, but it sure was. The last thing to deliver was the soundtrack, I might even try to find it.
Mouse (TV)Weak
My Neighbor Totoro (movie)Excellent
NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind (movie)Masterpiece
New Cutey Honey (OAV)Good
New Moomin (TV)Excellent
Night Shift Nurses (OAV)Worst ever
Nightwalker (TV)GoodA detective series that's lucky it got attention, really. Although the thing with Cain was what would get me interested. Another was Yayoi's past and what had happened to her and her sister. Though leaving it with the open ending that they did was probably a good open ending compared to other ones I've seen so far.
Nurse Witch Komugi (OAV)Good
Once Upon a Time [Windaria] (movie)Very goodInteresting turnout, but sad. Roland and Veronica were pretty much like Romeo and Juliet, and in the end fought a meaningless war, but died together alone. Allen destoyed an entire society to help his homeland and try and end the war. But when it all ended, his homeland was ravaged, his own home destroyed, and wife dead. All he could do was to atone for his sins, which was brought to subject at the beginning of the movie, and find peace.
Orgy Training (OAV)Not really good (raw), Decent (dub)This seemed to be one of those anime where the main character was a spoiled brat, who has no social experience, and who hates his father big time. Not to mention his father is pretty much a pimp, having sex with the maids every night. Then the new maid comes along, who the character develops feelings for, but knows that she gets raped by his father. Ultimately he tells her how he feels for her, even though she denies that she is worthy of anyone. It doesn't matter to him, she is the one that he wants, and nothing will stand in his way of it. In the end, he leaves the his father, which both are glad of, and he takes his love with him.

Pokemon - Mewtwo Returns (special)Good
Pokemon 2000 - The MovieGood
Pokemon 3 - The MovieVery good
Pokemon Heroes - Latias & Latios (movie)So-so
Pokemon: The First MovieExcellentYou can get an idea of what happens if humans cross lines they are never meant to. Mewtwo is bent on destroying the world, and Ash and company have to put a stop to it. The part that really got me was where Mewtwo and Mew were about to have their final battle, and then Ash sacrificed himself by interfering, which turned him to stone. And when all the pokemon were crying and their tears brought him back to life, even I was crying. This part still gets me now, which is partly why I don't watch it often. But it's one the best Pokemon movies I've seen.
Princess Mononoke (movie)Very good
Puni Puni Poemy (OAV)Bad (dub), Weak (raw)As if they couldn't come up with anything worse than Excel Saga, they came up with this one. Crude and adult humor, although the English dub made jokes a bit more funny.
Queen Emeraldas (OAV)Very good
Requiem from the Darkness (TV)ExcellentA very good way to portray some ghostly stories along with scenery, violence, or whatever it may be, this anime really makes itself stand out there. The designs are such that the scenery of buildings or forests, or just the people themselves are ones that you don't normally see, but it makes you like it. And what other to top off this series than with some jazz music to add into the opening and ending theme songs? Plot twisters are great, story is great, content is great, and the personalities of these characters are such that it keeps you watching and wanting to go onto the next episode as soon as you finish the one that you are on.
Ringu (live-action movie)ExcellentFreaky and good.
Serial Experiments Lain (TV)So-so
Shuten Doji-The Star Hand Kid (OAV)Not really good
Sin: The MovieSo-so
Slayers - The Motion PictureVery good
Spirited Away (movie)MasterpieceTruly a great piece of work in Hayao Miyazaki fashion. With strange creatures never seen in our world, Chihiro has her name taken from her and is now Sen. Thus she must find a way to restore her parents who got turned into pigs and find her true name so she can go back to the world from whence she came. Lovable characters, great cinematography, and overall good storyline with a heartbreaking soundtrack to back it up. I recommend this for all people.
(The) Story of Little Monica (OAV)AwfulAs if things in hentai couldn't get worse, this is by far the worst I have seen. Total lolicon, and a loser main character who also has another title waiting for him; Pedo! The bad guy of this story was an okama, the whole picturing of this movie was bad, and Will has sex with some of the ditziest preteen girls I've ever seen. Just by watching this I could tell also that it was made so that they would have to put in as little mosaic as possible. And the main characters has some of the biggest balls that I've seen.
Street Fighter Alpha (movie)So-soIt was nice to see all the characters in the movie, but it felt like they were just trying to squeeze them all in for two minutes of screen time, Mortal Kombat: Annihalation. And it pretty much felt like Street FIghter Alpha. I wished they would have put more of something in for Akuma.
Street Fighter II: The MovieGood
Taimanin Asagi (OAV)
Tekken: The Motion PictureVery goodThis one was kinda like Street Fighter Alpha: not enough of everyone. However I was watching this movie expecting to be disappointed, but that backfired on me. It still was interesting to play it with the people that they had in the deck. Kazuya is bent on revenge, and Jun is trying to stop him, which kinda toys with what happens in the game canon. Heihachi was bad ass, which made him great to watch also. The last thing was very touching, which was the side story of Jack 2, sacrificing himself so that others could live.
Trouble Chocolate (TV)Very goodThis is funny. You've got two people who can't keep their hands off each other, no matter what happens to them, you've got a girl who doesn't know what goes on but gets mad when someone is trying to harm her true love. Add onto that two sisters who's one super move involves the use of their boobs, and a frankenstein soldier who's in love with a vampire. The last winner to me is the soundtrack which brings back the good old para-para music from a long while back.
Tsukihime, Lunar Legend (TV)Very goodThis started off slow, and had poor character development, which attributes to the rating. However, around episode 6 it actually starts picking up with a good mysterious and suspensful theme, and the build up to the climax was actually well handled. I don't think it does the game justice enough, but in the end it was good enough. Now all we have to do is wait for a Melty Blood anime.
Vampire Hunter (OAV)Very goodDefinetly recommend this one over the American cartoon. Though Lilith, Jedah and Hood weren't in that one, you still got to see some of the more popular Darkstalkers. I liked towards the end in the scene between Demitri and Morrigan.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (movie)ExcellentAn emotionless damphir, a girl who truly loves a vampire, and a group of bounty hunters out for the money to bring her back. I liked the relationship that developed between D and Leila, as they were both trying to find something they'd wanted over something they'd lost. Even better was the last scene, even though Leila died, she died in old age and peacefully, surrounded by family she never thought she'd have. D was able to bring flowers to her grave, set on it by Leila's granddaughter.
