Okami is beautiful regardless of platform, and this is not its first rerelease, but in widescreen and high definition every inch of it is beyond compare. Seeing it like this we are reminded that no one has done it better, even though they've had six years to try.
Overall these volumes provide more faint smiles than outright laughs and on the whole, Oresama Teacher is fairly unremarkable.
With an engaging hero, a combination of logic and knowledge, and stylized but pleasant art, Case Closed continues to be a diverting read. It won't fill the gap left by Tokyopop's Kindaichi Case Files, but if you're looking for something a bit mysterious, you could do far worse than Case Closed.
Perhaps Wolf's greatest appeal should be in the fact that this is a sports manga in English, and not only that, but a good one.
It's got fighting action, personal drama, quirky humor, and science crossed with sorcery, with no particular aspect overshadowing any of the others.
With it's 29th volume, Skip Beat continues to charge ahead as one of the most enjoyable shoujo series available in English.
