Mixx confronts controversy, Scovil replies

posted on 1998-09-28 00:00 EDT
The recent controversies involving Mixx Entertainment and their C.E.O. Stuart Levy were finally answered on the MixxOnline web site yesterday, in a public letter by Levy himself. Fans' concerns and complaints have met with silence up until now, a problem compounded by the removal of the MixxOnline message board, a move widely regarded as a public relations disaster. In the letter, Levy confronted such controversial topics as Sailor Moon's move to the new magazine "Smile", which is due to ship next month, the licensing of Kenji's Spring, and several other issues. The letter also charged former editor-in-chief Ronald Scovil, Jr. and the maintainers of the Eye on Mixx web site with libel. Scovil was quick to fire back with a strongly-worded rebuttal.
