It takes patience to enjoy Night Head Genesis. That is, when there's enjoyment to be had.
An easily accessible sense of humor, which rotates between slapstick and parody and the characters behaving in exaggerated ways, is what helps to keep the series entertaining.
It ain't fall-
... a work of raw ambition, desperately straining to break free of the clichés holding it down. To its credit, Nanoha A's comes close. Very close.
Not all of the jokes work, and some of the routines are more purely crude than actually funny, but the comedy hits come plenty often enough that nearly every viewer should find something to laugh at in nearly every episode.
