The Death Note TV series gets a condensed movie version in this substantially shortened retooling of the series. Those expecting a completely fresh perspective will be disappointed, as it only mixes a few minutes of new scenes with clips from the original episodes.

Romance and adventure storylines come together and swing the cosmic battle in a new direction. Unfortunately, that direction appears to be one that involves entire paragraphs of angst-ridden dialogue.
