Graydon Carter thankfully plays down Rupert Everett's claim yesterday that, whilst staying in a hotel room adjacent to the Vanity Fair editor, he heard a woman making some of the "purest sounds of pleasure I’d ever heard," ostensibly owing to the editor's pudgy ministrations.
