Gun
Blaze West GN 3
The saga of Nobuhiro Watsuki prematurely ending Gun Blaze West is probably more interesting than the saga of Viu Bannes actually traveling to Gun Blaze West.

xxxHOLiC
GN 12
xxxHOLiC has often been about the interaction between humans and the spirit world, but this time the series outdoes itself by breaking into the world of dreams.

Buried
Treasure - The Laughing Target
Anime horror is not easy to do, but somehow Laughing Target manages to maintain a level of creepiness throughout, and its 1980s production values only add to it.

If the thought of the plot hitting a sprinting stride as more transforming robots wage war on newer and weirder monsters and dinosaurs (dinosaurs!) enter into the mix doesn't get you salivating, then don't bite. Please. It's for your own good.
Karin DVD 4
After a year's absence this series about a buxom, incompetent, "blood-making" teen vampire and her romantic antics continues, thanks to Funimation picking it up from Geneon. The debut of a major new character further enlivens the series' sweet, silly, and lightly dramatic content mix.

Nodame Cantabile GN 14
After the awkward meandering of the last couple of volumes, it's nice to see Nodame Cantabile back on track with Nodame and Chiaki trying to advance their music careers. Whether you're into it for the unique characters, the expressive performances, or both, this volume has it covered.

Missing -Kamikakushi No Monogatari- GN 2
Although the first volume was passable in quality, volume two is, to put it as bluntly as possible, excretable. Do not let this pitiable excuse for printed matter spirit away your time and your hard-earned money!
Random Fun
For all its swash and buckle, the series is also unapologetically campy; fans who would normally enjoy a solid action story might be turned off by Tetsujin's old-
