Tokyo Int'l Anime Fair: Day 2 (Sun Mar 30, 2008 6:35 pm)The Rush: Picture a convention where people aren't just hanging around chatting. Instead, they are all rushing to get somewhere for some kind of a meeting. That's TAF - a constant rush of activity. I've never felt so exhausted at an anime-related event in my life, and I'm not alone; there are people from all corners of the anime industry here running around and attending 12+ meetings a day. Something you'd only hear in Tokyo (Sun Mar 30, 2008 9:08 am)Overheard on a Tokyo JR (Train) platform, "I wouldn't want to live here. I prefer New York City, it's quiet."What can I say, I like Tokyo because it feels more "alive" than any other place I've ever been, but perhaps for some, it's too lively... I think the only thing I really don't like about Tokyo, is that public transit shuts down around midnight, which means that most of Tokyo pretty much shuts down around midnight. -t (More) |

An old enemy accompanies Honoka on a mission to rescue one of The Third as the final plot arc begins. Although these episodes do most things well, they fail to generate much of a sense of urgency about the series' impending end.
List the qualifications the series had to pass to improve on its rocky opening—lose the embarrassing theatrics, focus on the mysteries, beef up the characterization—and you'll find that this volume does them all.
Builds suspense with masterful skill, seizing the attention at the beginning of each episode, and holding it with twisty plot developments and clever mind games until there are simply no more episodes left to watch.
