Kraftwerk are the reason music sounds like it does today. Pioneers, 20 years before their time, they invented much of what we recognise as the tools of electronic music. But quite apart from being inventors they were funky as hell and became the most sampled artsits ever. "Kraftwerk",what can you say?,probably the best band of all time,for people who really enjoy music,no Kraftwerk means no d,mode,omd,g.numan,plus many many other's,we owe them a huge debt of gratitude,but why dont they get more airplay???? it baffles me!!!!

Tangerine Dream - the 'Dream's soundtrack music influenced a generation of moviegoers - the train scene in Risky Business is particularly memorable, not just for the visuals, but the background music itself that so fluidly incorporated the sound of the moving train, at the same time enhancing/ highlighting the emotion of the scene... Yello also were early influences on modern pop. If you hadn't already said it elsewhere, BOWIE and Iggy Pop would have been at the top of my list for both their individual and collective influences.
