A note about Japanese culture and the availability of Import Anime calendars. In the US, you can find calendars for sale pretty much 365 days a year. Not so in Japan. An important aspect of Japanese culture is "kokumin-sei" (their "national personality" per say). The Japanese are keenly aware that there is a time and place to do everything, and they only do certain things during certain times of the year. After August 3rd, for example, when summer vacation officially ends, virtually no one goes to the beach because "summer is over." It's not because the water is cold, it's because the time for the beach has passed. In a similar fashion, there is a very narrow window from September to November or so, when really cool anime, JPOP and idol calendars are available in Japan. Outside of this very small "calendar season" it's nearly impossible to find a calendar for sale in Japan! This is why our import calendars for the following year only appear for such a short time in the fall, and tend to sell out so quickly. Please note: Due to the length and size of
most calendars, they may need to be be shipped separately in a mailing tube. If your order includes other types of items such as videos or manga, your wall
calendar(s) may be shipped to you in a separate mailing tube and a small additional shipping
charge will be added to your order. For Japanese Import
Calendars the "Size" field lists the media size of
the calendar (e.g. A4, B2, etc.) Common
media size explanations are available here. |
