ruins Serious AOTY potential here for me. Everything they did on the previous two extraordinary albums that made them stand out is accentuated here. I learned about this band from Laird, and other than his stories, that's one of the best gifts he ever gave me was getting to hear this band grow and develop into a truly unique and powerful entity, devouring all just like Old Leech. And it ends on a song of such sweeping beauty, it made me tear up a bit. Cheers. Absolute triumph. Favorite track: Elegy.

jessicaf84 Just spun the record after receiving it today. I joined the listening party hosted last week but am amazed at the dynamics of this on my speakers vs. the computer speakers I listed to this on. The band has come very far since their last album, exploring different sounds and seeming other genres as well. Some of the songs and beats to me are reminiscent of NIN industrial electronic elements at times with a hard prog/doom sound. this is an amazing album. Do not hesitate on this. Favorite track: Tattered Sails.

1.
Hear our plea Show your presence Born of flame Sons of Aaron Lift this curse End your silence Hold your judgment for the foul and cruel  We’ve seen dark angels spread their wings Elucidation burn the sight from our eyes Beneath the endless sky  Lightning bends the knife We’ve witnessed seraphim draw water from a stone Lift your chalice Quench our thirst When the righteous come crawling past, they’ll beg to you No one offers prayer when mouths are full Till the cycle of toil returns When the cycle of toil returns  Come to us Moving like rivers flowing  Someone calls out Spirit takes a hold “Turn your hearts or face the coming storm” Vengeance speaks many tongues

R'Iyeh 04:29 video
You ask of its name R’lyeh You ask of its name R’lyeh Long before the fall A city out of reach Somewhere for the Masters Nothing for the thieves You ask of its name R’lyeh You ask of its name R’lyeh We don’t ingest the body (we are not your makers) We don’t imbibe the blood Veering toward the rapture Epiphanies withstood Long before the fall A city out of reach Somewhere for the Masters Nothing for the thieves
3.
With the leaves around you In the autumn air There’s no sun arising Just the warning of the crone “You will know me by the night. Waves erupting, consuming light”
With the sin that marks us When the mind’s alone In a valley of denial Something flowing deep inside Ever growing appetite Exhale warm breath Exhale warm breath With the leaves around you In the autumn air There’s a closing circle Symbiosis of a kind Now awakened to reside This controlling parasite

Guiding this flesh Exhale warm breath
4.
Far from home Drenched in rain Hopeful still, this escape Choices made Come what may Thought these woods Would keep me safe Tendrils wind, obfuscate Shelter wrecked All in vain No supplies Foraging All the doubts now to face Spores drift past, beckoning It’s easy to ignore hunger’s pangs When the forest floor becomes your grave Body still No more pain Face in shadow Hidden by the day Red eyes glow out beyond the lake Consuming all, mycelium partakes Transforming these remains Lifeless shell will rise again To roam the earth
5.
Unfurl the sails tonight Tattered, lost and white Pull the ships to rest Drag them to the depths Now capsized by the squall White horses lay the pall The sirens’ song is sung Inviting everyone With summer in the wind The silence of the shore No solace on the way Calls from below
6.
Everyone Everything The end Stalking us Everyone All alone Everyone… All of this Fleeting glance Whirring past On and on Everything Everyone You feel it coming soon You see its glow
7.
Elegy 05:00
Nothing left for us here Want to rise above Marched for days Struggled enough Eaten from within Inside, so hollow Crying for the ones who left the world behind You said you were the one to guide the way home You said everyone would walk beside you But aren’t you the one collapsed on the field? Aren’t you the one left to die among the reeds? Calling your legions to fight amongst the fray Giving their lives The waste, the shame Ride out Head out Searching for home Ride out Head out Searching for home Just yourself to trust Take it slow
