Actor Ashmit Patel recently revisited a controversial incident from the 'Murder' set where Mallika Sherawat accused him of choking her. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ashmit revealed that the scene in question required him to choke Mallika's character, portraying a marriage of convenience. Ashmit explained that he attempted method acting by maintaining distance from Mallika's character to enhance the on-screen tension. Despite Mallika's attempts to break the ice, Ashmit remained reserved, aiming to preserve the desired dynamic. Reflecting on the scene, Ashmit recalled seeking advice from Naseeruddin Shah to execute it convincingly. Naseeruddin shared a technique to convey the intensity without causing harm. However, despite their efforts, the incident resulted in a misunderstanding, with Mallika raising concerns after the shot was taken. Anurag Basu's directorial 'Murder' also starred Emraan Hashmi alongside Ashmit and Mallika.
