From Transformers Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search
Gura is a Decepticon Mini-Con from the Prime portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Gura (グラ) is Knock Out's Arms Micron partner. He's pretty easygoing. When not being Knock Out's weapon, he almost always hangs around with his buddy Zamu.

Prime cartoon

Gura only appears as an actual character in the Arms Micron Theater segments of the Japanese broadcast of Prime. Technically, he appears in the main cartoon any time Knock Out uses his staff, but we're not going to bother with that and just focus on his individual exploits.
Voice actor: Yasunori Masutani (Japanese)

Gura and Zamu popped into the Arms Micron studio for a friendly chat with their Autobot counterparts about a recent battle, but as O.P. started giving them advice for future battles, he grew increasingly ruthless and turned black as if tainted by Dark Energon. Arc wondered aloud what was in O.P.'s drink. Acceleration Transformation! Speed Match! Joined by Noji, the two were later ordered around by sub-leader Guru but showed him no respect, something Gura explained was because of the "sub" in his title. Then, a mysterious voice boomed through the studio, scaring them all... Phantom Transformation! Mind-Diving The voice belonged to Gora, who quickly asserted leadership of the Decepticon Microns. Guru wasn't terribly happy with this, so Gora commanded the others to form the Energon Sniper Combo Weapon and blast the bird. Counterattack Transformation! The Resurrection of Megatron!

Many of the Decepticon Microns decided to attack Arc while she was having a pop-idol moment. However, she quickly had O.P., B.B., R.A., B.H., C.L., and a second O.P. (?!) link up with her in their weapons modes... pretty effectively stopping that little moment of interruption. Phantom Transformation! Skyquake Returns Gura later helped Gora form a variety of combination in a vain (and unsuccessful) attempt at impressing Arc. Strategy Transformation! Unravel the Sinister Thread! He and other Decepticon Microns spied on their Autobot counterparts during the 20th episode celebration party. Duel Transformation! Quell Cliffjumper's Regrets

When Zamu announced he had to leave the Microns, causing a gloomy atmosphere in the room, Gura fought the sadness by transforming into the bright Shining Gura to literally brighten his friend's spirits. Turbulent Transformation! Insect Battle Gura was among those who combined with Hades until he learned that he wasn't making their combination any more powerful since Hades was at peak strength to begin with, at which point he disconnected and left. Clashing Transformation! The Dark Commander Appears When Ida sought to rescue Airachnid, Guru offered help in the form of the Solar Ion Arrow, a weapon that included Shining Gura (who as part of this trio went by the title "the Knight of Wisdom"). Infinite Transformation! Multiplying Enemies

Gura and Zamu appeared on TV during a New Year's celebration. Sonic Transformation! Ratchet's Recipe Gura played the main character in an Arms Micron retelling of The Crab and the Monkey, though he changed the story by combining with his allies into a cannon that blasted the monkey (Gora) off his tree. Combustible Transformation! Struggle over the Omega Key He came in second place in an Arms Micron popularity poll, upsetting Arc who was shocked that a "mere crab" got a higher score than her. Sky Dance Transformation! The Suicidal Skydive Gura and the other Decepticon Microns then had some fun tricking Guru into thinking Zori their new leader instead of Gora. Blackest Transformation! The Shadow of Treachery

During the final battle between the Star Saber and Dark Star Saber, the Dark Energon Saber Microns summoned Shining Gura to help them as part of a "Solar Ion Arrow Combo" attack. Resurrection Transformation! The Reviving of Planet Cybertron To celebrate the end of Arms Micron Theater, Gura rode Zamu into the studio to join the other Microns in waving goodbye to their audience. Ultimate Transformation! Fight! Transformers
