NEW DELHI: India has assisted in evacuating 170 nationals of 15 countries from Nepal, the ministry of external affairs has said on Tuesday.
This includes 4 people from Brazil, 20 from Czech Republic, 5 from France, 8 from Germany, 1 from Mexico, 33 from Poland, 1 from Romania, 2 from Russia, 2 from South Africa, 71 from Spain, 1 from Switzerland, 4 from Tanzania, 3 from United Kingdom, 5 from Ukraine and 10 from the United States.

So far, India has evacuated over 5,500 of its citizens from the earthquake-hit country.
India was the first country to rush in humanitarian aid and launch rescue operations in the Himalayan country following the widespread devastation caused by the 7.9-magnitude earthquake on Saturday last week.
So far, India has deployed 18 planes and 12 helicopters into rescue, relief and evacuation operations in Nepal apart from deploying a large number of Army and National Disaster Response Force personnel, earth movers, paramedics etc. India has also set up dozens of relief camps and field holspitals.
India has also deployed buses for evacuation along the India-Nepal border.
