One of the best things about summer is all of the ripe, seasonal fruit. Peaches and strawberries are my favorites, but I also love local blueberries and blackberries this time of year. If you’ve never tried grilling peaches, then you’re in for an extra special treat. Grilled peaches are fast and simple to cook and make an incredible dessert, breakfast, or filling snack.

What To Serve With Grilled Peaches

My favorite thing to serve with grilled peaches is full-fat plain Greek yogurt drizzled with a little pure maple syrup. I also love full-fat cottage cheese, as well. It adds a nice protein boost and the flavors are magical together. You can add some homemade granola or a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream or mascarpone cheese for a decadent dessert. You can also substitute honey for the maple syrup. It’s like a deconstructed peach crisp. So delicious!! Speaking of peach crisp, if you’re looking for a recipe, I’ve got you covered! This gluten-free peach crisp is one of my favorites and it happens to be dairy-free and vegan, as well.

Any way you decide to serve them, these grilled peaches are absolutely delicious!

How To Grill Peaches

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 2 fresh freestone peaches (slightly firm)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 8 oz full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp real maple syrup
  • 2-3 fresh mint leaves, chopped fine

Directions:

Preheat the grill to medium heat. Make sure that the grates are clean and oiled. Slice the peaches in half and remove the pit. Leave the skin on the peach and baste the peach halves with olive oil. Make sure that you are using a slightly firm peach for grilling. If they are too ripe, they won’t hold up well on the grill.

Grill the peach skin side down for 4 minutes, turn over and grill 3-4 more minutes until done.

Divide the yogurt between two bowls and plate the peaches. Drizzle with maple syrup and garnish with mint, if desired.
